Most of the Christians in Afghanistan keep their faith secret. Afghanistan is an Islamic Republic that does not acknowledge that any citizen of the country is Christian at all. Conversion from Islam to Christianity is illegal. In the entire country, there is only one church that enjoys legal recognition: the Roman Catholic chapel at the Italian Embassy in Kabul.
Please pray that the hearts of the country’s leaders would be turned toward the light, and that Holy Orthodoxy would ultimately come to Afghanistan.

In these countries, Christian’s face detention, violence and abuse for their religion. The number one most dangerous country on the list is North Korea, which has held the top spot for 18 years….

Should a Christian be discovered, Open Doors UK reports they: “may be sent to a mental hospital – their families believe no sane person would leave Islam.
